Circle8fitness is a fitness concept focused on interval based workouts inspired by Kickboxing, Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and Boxing with the addition of strength and conditioning drills.
Using Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Boxing means we exercise eight key points of the body to strike with hands, elbows, knees and kicks. And with the multitude of variations in which each limb can be used makes it a very complete and versatile combat sport that has been adapted into fitness training.
A "high intensity interval training" group fitness class inspired by Thai boxing, kickboxing, boxing, strength and conditioning with a twist of fun. After an intense warm up you go into 4 sets of 8 rounds. Each round is 1 minute. 50 seconds active and 10 second rest per round. There are 5 formats to the class. 1 by 1, 2 by 2, 4 by 4 & 8 by 8 and 32. Example, 8 by 8 would be 8 rounds of striking followed by 8 rounds of conditioning.
The class is run by a unique fitness app which has thousands of training videos specific for these classes and can be downloaded for home use via Apple App Store. The class finishes with a tough abdominal set and a stretch. The class is set in a night club vibe with loud music and lights off and the conductor being the instructor who guides and keeps you motivated.
